Aloha from Maui,

I mostly lurk here but really like Casso's videos and surfing. They are very good and positive influences for SUping. The tests of different boards, sessions, etc. The Maui Paddle Surf Hawaii family would love to send Casso a back up Gopro that has only been used once. Can whoever or Casso please PM me where this Gopro needs to go. Thank you and look forward to seeing more of the stoke.

Mahalo

Byron

That's very nice of you Byron.. That means Casso can run two at the same time and it might make his vids even better..

That is so cool. Thank you Byron. I'll PM you with the details.

For those who don't know, Byron is a guru over on the StandUp Zone forum and posts awesome photos and video of himself, his son and their friends from Maui. To have Byron compliment my videos and reviews like that, really means a lot to me.

Another Tenner on the way via PayPal.

Was up in Sydney for a mates wedding over the weekend went down to Manly to get some salt air and let my 2.5 year old have a run on the beach. Plenty of suppers out but none in bright green boardies.

Very cool Byron.

Hopefully we can get enough donations to buff Casso out with 2 cameras (one from the generosity of Byron and one from the generosity of the community here) and get him a coupla' angles for his great vids-pressure's on the community to ante up and Casso to produce the goods

I figure I enjoy Casso's vids twice as much as the average and I've used most of them on my playlist on kenalu so I doubled up. Hoping we see double the fun...

Great job Matt! Good onya mate! I've always wanted to say that but i'm not sure it works with a Boston accent..

Hi Casso
Now its time to earn the dollar..

How do you mount the cam to the paddle?

Does it stay on with the paddling. I think it should as I was showing my brother Robbos latest vid and it appeared to be on the blade.

Robbo let us know if it stayed on.

By the way my brother had to turn away as the footage made him sea sick.
Loved it!

Brother swanie,
you can get yourself a dent puller/suction cup from supercheapauto"you'll get the lot for less"for about $8.When you get your GOPRO it will have an FCS plug attachment,Casso showed me how to attach this to the handle of the dent puller(couple of small holes and stainless bolts/nuts) You can stick this to your board or the inside of you paddle blade, easy peasy mate!!!!!Check out Casso's pics of his rig,

With Byron donating his GoPro, there should be enough in contributions, for Casso to replace all his batteries and 2gig SD cards that also went missing.

Just to keep everyone updated-there's $196.96 in PayPal and some more money coming to my bank account-the money hasn't hit the account yet-being Easter etc.

Once that money reaches the account, I'll confirm the total amount and then get it to Casso straight away.

Hopefully there will be enough to replace all that's been stolen-remembering that SHQ Boardsports (www.shq.com.au/) has offered to sell Casso a camera at cost.

On holidays now at a little town up the coast (Forster) and had the best session I've ever had on a SUP yesterday afternoon! Overhead, clean, wedging peaks (with good walls) at the river mouth. Not too many out (for Easter Monday) and heaps of waves for the taking.

No camera! Ahhhhh!

OK-the sums.

We have:

* $194.62 in PayPal
* $120.00 in direct deposits.

So compliments of the Seabreeze SUP community-Casso has $314.62 cents to get himself a new camera and (I would hope) SD card an odds and ends. Melbourne's SHQ Boardsports (www.shq.com.au/) selling Casso a camera at cost will allow Casso to add those odds and ends.

Congratulations to all those 22 people (plus actually-as Phil P's family donated for a number of people) that anted up with the hard earned.

Casso's on a trip-I'll PM him and get his bank account details and send him the money.

Trust the process was transparent enough.

Like most that contributed-never met Casso-don't know him-but he's the goods here in the SUP community and has helped many with his views and news-good to give back.

Matt

I was lucky to meet Andrew (Casso) at the last Mambo. Each morning I'd go down to the beach at sunrise to check out the surf and no one else would be up and about.. except Casso .. He'd always be there ready to hit the waves no matter what the conditions.

I look forward to catching up with Casso again at this years Mambo at Merimbula (NSW) in November.. Let's hope we can get a huge crew of Breezers there this year.

I'm sure all that chipped in to help Casso out feel as good inside as I do and I'm sure Casso will think of all his mates on the Breeze every time he uses it..

Now.. Bring on the vids..and the board reviews..

Matt,
Big round of appause to you mate, for organising this, and to those who gave up their hard earnt.
I was lucky enough to meet Casso up here at Christmas.I was riding my 11'er and seeing him carving on his 9'3" Naish changed my whole view of SUP.
The next surf we had together he without hesitation he offered me a go on his board.
He's a great dude, who has been more than willing to help with any info Ive needed.
This has been a great example of "Aussie mateship",and Iam stoked to the gills to be a part of that.
DJ,Iam putting in my application for leave to be part of the "Mambo" this year,so if anyone can give me definite dates, that would be awesome,
