Good reason for all the old fellas to stay in the safe surrounds of currumbin alley. Poor old chris (jake's oldman) is laying in hospital overnight with a massive gash on his side and into his ribs.
Doco's were concerned about all infection as the gash was huge and entered his rib muslce and lung.
We have pics and will post them soon, be aware not very pretty.

The fin got him very nicely.

We all wish him a speedy recovery!

Jake, one of the worst things about rib injuries is laughing.. So don't make him laugh.

Just kidding.. . I hope he gets some good nurses.. .. I've heard that they do good sponge baths for people with rib injuries..

They called it a washout and repair on the right axillar wound i'm sure DJ knows wat that is.

Yer it was his board it came back at him and the fin got him.

I winder if these will become more common cos there's been a lot of rib and chest injuries in Hawaii with SUP's hitting them.
