Well I just saw a photo on Instagram of Connor with a drip in his arm, so if he isn't already here I can't see him racing, so it could be all up to the Aussie boys going head to head.

Bart is always dangerous over the longer distances, but I think it will be an Aussie who takes it. Pretty much draw a name out of a hat for the top 10 as anyone one could win Kelly, Lincoln, Beau, Jacko, Sam P, Kissa and all the other regular crew plus the Tardrew brothers are looking quick.

The ladies will be a tight tussle but I'm backing the local girl Michelle, she's been beating most of the guys lately.

great session, this morning stimo, travis and dale are a wealth of knowledge and great ambassadors for the sport.

on the DW side of things the concensus at training was a bit longer run this arvo, as with our new technique we will be at cott in about 10 paddle strokes with that wind how does swannie sound at 1530?

Massive thanks to Trav and DC for getting out of bed early this morning!!
We really appreciated your tips and advice.

I'm with you on a bit longer run to Swannie Brett.

Will be too much fun to stop at Cott with the conditions looking so good!!

Don't forget Jake. If he gets his Naish in the groove like he did in the 20 beaches he'll be hard to beat.

Just looking through the competitor list and board sizes. If you are paddling a 14 foot, do you register as 12'6" to 14' or as 14' and above? I wonder if thats caused some confusion and many 14's are split between those 2 classes.

Yes lots of guys have entered wrong you can change it at rego talk to dean about this it's a bit confusing even Travis Grant stuffed up but not dale ( dale told me to say that )
So my take on it 12/6. To14 Is the 14 class 12/6 is that class and 14and over basically is unlimited
Best run of the year yesterday and ten beer and food at Cott pub just as good

I was thinking of the year before which was the reversed race from port beach to rotto. You're right in that Jacko did also beat everyone on a 12'6" the following year.

Good luck everyone entering, go the WA boys and girls. If the wind fills in like it did today you should be up for a ripper run. Hope the direction isn't to side one for the first part but the home run should be good. Just back from a kiting DWer and I rigged to big.. Bloody great fun regardless

It is still a bit of a guessing game as to wether the the 'doctor' will be starting to fill in before the start.
With any luck it will pick up heaps just as we I round the marker, my tactic is going to be to hang back a bit so I get the wind first.
