Was just made aware of the delamination issues that the cheaper boards have and the foam there made of isn't as good as recognized brands and don't perform as well. Who knows they might b good but kinda put me off

Dont take this the wrong way but where do you think the Simon is from? Hell i even sold them for a bit and is part of the reason i feel the way i do!!
Look they are getting better and i'm sure they will get to be on par with everything else when they work a few things out but at the moment there is a difference. What people choose to buy is 100% up to them and if they get swayed from something on here then all good to them, i would hope that if they had some sort of shop around them they would go in and touch and feel some boards and ask as many questions as they can.

my 2 cents. any board can go wrong- custom or pop out. hi end and low end production there's a lot of factors involved producing boards.

you could leave your board on the car all day in the sun, see nothing wrong with it, but structurally damage the boards and materials. next day, next month it de lams or creases or something from that day.

however by choosing a decent brand that has a specification on build and backs it up with proper warranty has too be a better choice.

resale on low end or no name is poor. it may be temping to buy the cheapie but you will have a very hard board to sell later when you upgrade

and you will upgrade

cheers

The factors I was gonna buy a dud ive already stated. And it just seems weird a board can b so much cheaper than everything else. Too many people have warned me not to buy them. So I will spend a bit more and hopefully won't have any dramas and hopefully won't have to upgrade.

too many people have warned you not to buy them? i like Gassa have had and still own many "high End" boards, PSH, Starboard you name it.
Im very happy with the way my board performed and it CAN take a beating.

I too have a PSH that has delaminated - but if i see a post about PSH i dont get on there and warn people against buying them. I enjoyed the board and had many memorable surfs on it. Just like my Halo.

The shop that i bought my board from have a full warranty against all manufacturing faults.

I really feel that alot of people on here have been "Brand" brain washed. which is really sad.

It seems a big thing is "re-sale value" but let me tell you i wont be selling mine so its not an issue.

Cheers Danny

And r u tryin to "brand brain wash" me? I said I've been talked out of buying one. If u like urs that's good but I won't b buying one.

If there so good y does nothing come up on google? Only the surfboard warehouse that claims there a $1600 board selling them for $900 and discussions on seabreeze. And y r they selling them so cheap if there so good?

At the end of the day I was gonna buy one then changed my mind I'll buy a recognized brand I'm happy with this decision. Enjoy ur halos
