Hey all,
Just wanted to know how everyone was going in the dust storm. I didn't realise it was happening until I started smelling dust while I was on the computer and then realised it was red outside. Coastalwatch has confirmed that it is the same heading down the coast ( Just a red screen ). The weather reading is saying it's the worst one ever and may make it from here to NZ. My board is at Polsy's getting fixed. Was anyone outside when it hit?

Gettting dusty here on the Sunny Coast.. Best news is it has westerlies and the ocean is cleaning up for a surf before it hits hard.

I was just sitting at the computer and watched my dog kennel go flying down the driveway! (and I have a big dog so it was a big kennel)

Not a good day for paddling that's for sure!

For anyone who is interested, here's the latest satellite image from the geoscience australia website - you can see the front of the dust storm sweeping across most of queensland.

That is incredible. I don't know how long it will last?????

It shut down a mates school camp in Thargominda (South west qld) last Thursday. So it took 6 days to get here?

The sun is amazing if you get to go have a look now.

Just read a report that says it will be all gone from SEQ by morning. With lighter SW it should be ok for a surf first thing in the morning off Buddina. Even better on Friday Morning.
