I Supped the pass on early Friday arvo with my mate , it's was windy and small , we hung about mid way and a wider , it was a mix of absolute kooks and experienced riders (not that crowded) , no problems to Sup no stink eye and a pretty good vibe. Near the end of our session I sat wide off the point and got a couple fat sets away from the pack so I didn't have to surf through anyone.

It's a great break and great on a Sup but when this break fills up with surfers it's definetly a no go for the Sup. Even if you manage a wave all you do is surf through people.

I have to agree with you there Jacko....

Seriously - its a video of someone out there and getting amongst it... im sure we are ALL guilty of the occasional drop in, snake, etc... it happens...life goes on- get OVER IT.... so many other people have posted videos, photos, etc... its a forum - isnt that whats its all about???
Leave your agro elsewhere....!

Yeah good surfing Downwinder, that place looks like a bit of a zoo - lots of beginners by the looks of your vid.

Funny I didn't manage the catch the 'fear in their faces' bit....lol

Pipe is a zoo and I am sure there are some people out there with fear on their faces but does that mean that Kainoa and Ikaika shouldn't SUP out there???

Downwinder looks like he can handle that board pretty well, better than some of the shortboarders out there and even possibly better than the mal trying to catch the white water. So why go out on a shortboard sit amongst the pack and get frusterated? SUP was obvioulsy the board of choice in those waves to have the most fun on so again why would you choose another craft?

Unless its over 3 foot otherwise its a Mal and Sup wave.

I watched until 1 min 20 sec - the first 20 seconds of that was the stupid 'I'm a pro movie maker' rubbish.

First wave you dropped in on someone, second you totally paddled around the pack and showed no mercy to those inside and the fear on the faces of the line up when you stroked into the third wave was enough for me.

You're the type of guy that gives the sport a bad name my friend.

You wanna surf the pass - go get your surfboard and share or go down to Clarkes and SUP.

BTW, on you're way to Arra. Stop by Angourie so you can piss them off as well. Maybe a trip to Crescent as well - it'll have swell and south protection too.

Bit of unwarranted criticism of a guy surfing well in small waves populated by learners and tourists.
