That was the 10'10" Nalu.. in this vid..

The Quest should go just as well (with the right fin).. and I think the 11'2"x 32" Quest is about $1600

I was thinking the 12 foot quest but might consider the 11 foot one now.
Dad has the 10 foot odysseus and it paddles great.

Great vids DJ!!

How much is an initial windsurfing set up on the SUP as I would like to get back into it as the Nor Easter blows very regular here in the afternoon. Would my starboard avanti also take a universal windsurfing attatchment.

I think my Fanatic Ride rig was about $600 when I bought it a couple of years ago, brand new.
A quick on line thingy had them available at $699.
Far from expert, but I would say beware older second hand gear. The new stuff is much better, and everything fits / works.
Seems to be very little available second hand in Melbourne, but I don't constantly watch.
My mate Hugo from Sydney, long time windsurfer, had old gear and rigs in Merimbula, (talking 20 years old here).
When he tried my new stuff, said so much easier.
Short boom, film sail, dumps power instantly when you want it to. Easy to uphaul without sailing off with the end of the boom in the water, no waterlogged sails.
I am amazed at how easily I have got back in to it off a very low skill base, so must be the gear.
No idea on individual boards for windsup, but anything with keel line / channels would be better. Tom Carroll Outer Reef looks perfect, I'll get back to you in about a year when I've put a mast box in one.
Other post has details of my windsup conversion.
