I fear I have done the unthinkable and driven off without my board tied down
I live near the Gracetown Caravan Park and I wouldn't have gone far before it blew off onto Cowaramup Bay Road. By the time I realised and drove back the board was gone.
It was a white 8'7" JL Kwad Limited Edition (# 17).
Anyone sees it surfing or advertised please let me know....I love that board!

Will keep a look out around Perth not too many about so should be obvious if it shows up. Hopefully its not too far from your place and will come home soon.

That's really bad news. A fair bit worse than leaving the paddle behind....

A-B-C People.... Leaving home, and leaving to go back home...
A - Board on
B - Board Strapped Down
C - Paddle in car
D - wettie / boardies / booties / towel loaded in....

yeh, guess you only do it once 3 kids going nuts in the back, dog in the boot and pumping waves I could hear booming from the house had me very distracted.
Still, surprised it hasn't been returned. No sign at the van park, gracetown store or cop shop means someones taken off with it. I know if I found a board on the road I wouldn't claim it, but there you go. May have to start saving for another!

Did the same thing as a young fella down south. Thought someone had grabbed the board off the road but 3rd pass I saw a white flash way off in the bushes. Board had flown 50m and was behind a line of low bushes.

Hope you get the same result it may have flown a bit into the bush, worth a look

Weve lost boards off the roof down south too. Like Hilly, we found them in the bushes well off the road. Good luck.

I was sitting on the over pass at Beeliar drive waiting to turn south on the freeway and saw this guy heading north with it strapped to the roof pass underneath me, I couldnt even tell you what type of car it was as I was just staring intently at the board after reading this post. I know it was some sort of smaller style silver wagon thats it.

Thanks Chopz for the tip - good chance it was my board. Apparently only 5 or 6 white ones were sold of the Kwad. I know 2 guys down here with one and my mate Fergus another plus mine......so that leaves only one or two others.
Good chance then if one turns up in the line-up in Perth was mine[}:)]

Hope you get your board back DeeJay. I had my shortboard taken at Yallingup one weekend away and first thing Monday morning I called all the surf shops to let them know. Sure enough got a call from a mate who managed a shop and said some gumby was in there trying to trade it in on a brand new board. So I reckon that should be your first port of call plus now its on the breeze that will hopefully help too.

bit of a long story but basically a local guy spotted it in the middle of the road, decided he had better pick it up before someone else nicks it, fixed the broken fins up and was holding it in his shed (he doesn't SUP), waiting for someone to come forward. word got back to me out in the surf today, rang him up and he was stoked to find the owner. like someone said, good crew down here and restores faith

You've gotta be happy with that. Was south two weekends ago and had my eyes peeled to see if it was where it shouldn't be.

Glad it turned out well - see you in the water.

So happy for you - buy that man a carton plus a bottle of spirits of his choice.

Been staring intently at every board in the water round my area every day i've been out

Glad you're reunited
