Just like old times DJ. Did the first few when you were a youngster and haven't been back for years. Am booked in with AA and Mark Mitchell . Just visited AA in hospital and he's still planning on coming.
I suspect he wants to be the centre of attention, show off his scar and the really nasty wound photos he has.

Can't quite rival DJ for consecutive Merimbula Classics, but this is my 18th on the trot and they just become more fun each year!!

looking better each day for a little detour from sydney via the sunny coast then down to merimbula

and maybe even on to melbourne for the weekend after that

First timer myself, gunna stop off at Lake Conjola on the way for a couple of days for a few waves at Green Island with any luck.

Looks like i am not going as i have injured (fractured) my arm, i have a 1 Bedroom Standard Unit (downstairs for easy board storage) at the Grandeur booked for a week which is at the absolute prime beachfront location, if you want it give Sharron a call on (02) 6495 1456.

Unfortunately my injury is not as exciting a talking point (thank god!) as his and being around me ATM is quite depressing IMO, i couldn't cope with watching and not participating either.

Believe me, you have no idea how excited i am that someone will get my prime beachfront accomodation!!! (swear words delete)

We fly out from the Goldie Thursday night and get to Canberra around midnight , pick up the mini bus and head straight to Merimbula. Not sure what then when we arrive 3.30 to 4am probably just hit the water bbbrrrrrrr.

Those heading to Merimbula will be pleased to know that there is swell.. Nice one meter sized waves and sunny with mid 20s forcast for today.. On the radio they are saying 1-2 meter waves.. and it's looking good for the rest of the week.. I'll try and get some pictures up soon..

on my 5 minute drive to work this morning i saw two cars loaded to the max with wave sailing gear and sups.

Looks like people are getting a head start.

weather looks good, should be a awesome few days.

Got some fun little waves today at the Bar with Dean.. I was on my 12'6" Glide and Dean was on his 12'6" WOW proto (orange Croc)..

Both of us in just boardies..
