Here's my pics for Day three (Saturday) was a a little different to the first two because we woke to heavy rail and overcast sky's and a cold onshore wind.
The demo boards were not being used as most used the crappy weather to have a nice little sleep in.
It wasn't all doom and gloom.. if you're a keen windsurfer.
John Smythe (the contest organizer) is a keen windsurfer.. and after a quick look he was out there.. Amazing considering he's about 100 years old now..
For the rest of us there was one good thing to do.. Hit the barbie.
Amazingly about midday the sky started to clear and the wind dropped and soon there were SUP'ers everywhere again enjoying the nice little waves.
My friend Tim demo'ed a Starboard Whopper and caught his first wave.
Warwick on a little Starboard.
It was great to see so many girls out there demo'ing SUP boards.
My little point and shoot camera started to fog and get wet inside spoiling many good shots that I took while paddling around.. It did come good again once the day warmed up..
The Starboard guys lined up some boards and riders for a film shoot and you can see here what a great day it turned out to be after such a bad start.
That's about it for my day three pictures.. One day to go and I'll post them soon.
