Now the question should I tell him to pull his head in before he rips someones head off? tell him to learn
elsewhere? or give him a right serve?

None of the above, never offer advice unless it is asked for, you don't know what his issues are.

Why is it your problem anyway? Cant you carve circles around this guy, just avoid him.

I think you may have missed the point here Darryn.

I read that Macaha was worried about this guy hurting him or someone else.

In my opinion you should not venture into the surf around other surfers, of any type, until you are fully proficient.

SUP's are bigger and heavier than other boards and therefore are more dangerous. Couple that with inexperience in a busy line up and you may have trouble.

Everybody has to learn and get experience no matter what they ride. Smart people get it away from others where they do not put themselves or others in danger.

I don;t understand the reluctance to have a quiet word with him about the situation. If it's as cut and dried as it seems, the worst thing you can do is let him keep doing what he's doing. No need to write him off in front of the lineup, but if he's a danger mouse it doesn't matter what he's riding - he needs to be told.

There are far too many middle aged learners on all manner of craft who don;t understand the ocean sufficiently to be anywhere near others, or understand etiquette/lore. It's pretty straightforward, unless they're covered in tough stickers and missing teeth of course....
