good effort to all how turned up to support the sup racing but disappointing to all how didn't because of the weather forecast ,but if we don't turn up they won't invite sup paddling again
i have paddle raced for 20 years in all conditions and still never had the perfect conditions but at least i have been given the chance to race
don't let your ego of been beaten stop you from turning up to support the races
fun day any way just its a shame more of you seabreeze's didn't race today but aleast i got to find out how LACEY is and see DC back from his PNG trip
can't wait to see the movie from PNG sounds like those guys where ripping

going in feb to PNG sup/surf trip into brand new area in peak swell window

the support boat and boating licences for this type of race is beyond most paddlers unfortunately. i'm sure more would have had a go.

Ha with all the red thumbs I guess someone is upset that me and Ang did not compete but with a comp on every weekend for the next month, some times when you own A business you can't do everything. I'm sorry but I would Rather go to mambo than do the last race. I wish we could do them all that would be sick.

well, as far as i know, you need a boat licence to drive a boat. so if you have a third person who has a boat and licence and just does that, its good. if you only have two man team, the team would need a boat and both paddlers would have to have a licences to be able to do change overs.i'm just saying ,its a fair step up from just turning up with your sup
cheers

With the amount of comps and support myself and ang do and give we realy need to win lotto each year to keep us going so sometimes something has to give. Did you enter? i have done plently of races with no wind so i know what it feels like its not that much fun.

I'm pretty sure no one is scared of losing rember if its not fun then why do it?

Yeah you 're right we had intended to go in it and if we had we would have to have given up something else so when the forecast was as bad as it was we put something else in its place that might do more for the sport. Nearly everyone who was going to do it said if there is a ****ty forecast they would pull the pin on it. Some of the people who went in this comp have not been to any SUPSA days and i haven't seen them at a lot of the other event as well mainly because there are not to many paid professionals out there yet so everyone is just doing what we can. No nerve hit just stating some facts.
I see the 2 shops helping the local scene more that any one else as far as i can see.

So as a first poster how come you were not in the race?

Jacko

But its so easy to support our sport its only a $80 flight i would have got a board for you and a boat.
We are driving down to Mambo taking a week of running our business probably cost about $1000 or more so if you are so disappointed that some people missed this event don't you think you should walk the walk if you are going to talk the talk.

Don't take it the wrong way I'm sure you mean well as dose everybody in this sport but i wish some people would look at the big picture rather than through blinkers.

Cheers Jacko
