Honestly.....guys should learn to style on a single fin competently before smashing on about multi quasi fin setups.

You know when you are stylin.

That is when guys are coming to you in the carpark and saying "nice waves you got there"

Rather than you telling your mates "i am smashing those sections on my new quad big time."

Not enough fins in my opinion.

Have you tried some making the center fin winged along with some quadrupal concaves, I reckon you could really cut some wicked old school cut backs, off the lips and rip some mean floaters using that setup.

How am I going with the language guys - am I getting there?

Without a doubt a 2 + 1 setup although I think for sub 9ft boards a standard fcs thruster setup with largish fins would be the go. My 9'0 has a very wide fish tail so I run it with an 8inch and Am2 sides and this seems to give me heaps of drive/bite and stability. I have ridden the same board set up as a quad and my first impression is that it was less stable and tended to yaw more - although I did not surf the quad, but I reckon it would be a bit loose for my liking.

QUAD all the way.

Call is squiggly then that must be me.

Why would you not want fast and loose with plenty of drive?

Thrusters are great for 15 year old boys.......
