Dale Chapman has probably shaped and made more sup boards than anyone else in Oz and I've noticed how his shapes have evolved over the years .. This is his latest creation.. It's very different to most other DC boards that I've seen.. I could go on and on about the features of this new shape but I will let my pictures do the talking.

Hey DJ, that is a beautiful looking board, I love the way it sits in the water. I would be very tempted to look at getting one of these boards as they look the goods in all departments. I am sure it was nice to paddle too.
One question though, did you mind paddling a red board? ET.

I liked the red and white but couldn't help thinking about the Vic's loosing against the Sydney Swans.. and the circles kinda reminded me of shopping at Target..

It was very nice to paddle and surprisingly stable for a board only 26" wide.. You could turn the sprinkler on if you paddled it hard.. (just like the Starboards).. But it felt fast.. Very fast.

Good thing the owner of this new board isn't a Hawthorn supporter. Oh wait...

DJ there was no paddle pimp within the pimp very disappointed

Are the crocks and starfish optional?

What did it paddle like?

Does it come in a 12'6

Will it be there on the weekend to have a look at?

yes it does, doing 1 last prototype this week to finalize the front and the final model should be ready just after that.

This board is based on the 28" wide 14 that Alain has been downwinding and racing on this year, I paddled his board in open ocean cross swells and chop off the Gold Coast recently and found it handle these conditions comfortably for me so decided for the more groomed downwinders we get bayside in Melbourne to go a bit thinner but Dale has also updated the shape slightly with some added volume towards the front so going to 26" wide the effect on stability is minor.
Still waiting on some wind to test out the glide on runners and so far have only had it in some 1ft micro beach waves which it handled real well so as soon as the north wind fires up I'll be there to test out this Aussie made weapon

Phill if you bring your paddle on Sunday I should be able to organize the board being there too.
