THE LATEST news on the SUP Demo Day next Sat 12th ... see events calander ...

Lots of interest and will find parking crowded at the river mouth.
Best idea is to check the Surf Lifesavers car park as well.
There should be plenty of room there .. and some of the clubbies will be joining us.
Its a short walk from the clubhouse to the river mouth .. hoping to get clubbie assistance ferrying boards on one of their beach trailers.

Fingers crossed for the weather..

Further to the above.

The clubbies will open the gates for us at 9:00 am on the day.

We will be permitted to take a 4x4 and equipment trailer along the beach

to the river mouth.

So if you are there early enough and you front up at the club house, any extra gear can be carried for you.

For those who are not familiar with the setup, the event will be focused on the

river mouth and there are two convenient car parks

one is at the end of river road (must carry equipment)

the other is at the surf lifesaving club house.

There are a lot of punters coming.

There's a lot of interest.

Hope conditions on the day are OK

Was gunna demo my new Fanatic

Picked it up today

but it broke in transit.

We've got to do something about SUP transport ..

Its far too expensive, you can't take it as air baggage ..

And it gets trashed anyway ..

It's a killer

The dealers must be spewing

Yes we are - the freight companies dont want to take any responsibility -
Startrack are better but they dont want to take them -

Sounds as though it could be taken up as a forum in its own right.

I'll put it up as "SUP board freight damage".

In the SUP general department.

Good Morning Quadme

Didn't know you're religious.

Footprints in the wet sand won't ruin a beach

But dog **** will.

looks like a great time to buy a new board, we have heaps of suppliers that are offering great deals on orders on their boards, some up to 15% off, free freight, free legropes.
i'll also have a list of good local second hand boards many of which we be available to demo on the day.

Hi Guys,
Victor from Red Herring has tee'd up some new 2012 additional demo boards for the day also.
If anyone out there is able to contact victor at Red Herring in Hobart to borrow the boards-he'd like to hear from you.

I'm not able to make it down for this event due a Wedding in Byron-but I'll tee up something a little later in the year with you all when there's a break in the schedule.

Hope you get some great weather and great waves.

Regards

Matt Martin

Just spoke with the Head Honcho Clubbie who is giving us vehicle access to

the beach .. He said that the licenced bar will be open for refreshments

in the PM .. Excellent view of the action from the Clubhouse balcony.

Thanks clubbies for your cooperation .. hope you get a chance to paddle on

the merchandise.

Great day,
Weather was perfect, very little wind and a small swell.
good to see so many interested people, and variations in boards/brands.
This could be the beginning of an annual event.

Thanks Geared For Knots

You contributed and represented your brands very well.

Thanks for your efforts

At the end of the day I was so stuffed, but It was a sell out success.

Very pleased with the attendance

Very pleased with the weather

Very pleased with the little wave

It was all we needed for a demo day

thanks Hughie

And it was Riverider who did the hard yards

with the organisation of the event

Well done RR

We'll let you run it again next year too

Please

some one was taking photos

And it was great, a bit of an incoming tide to give you something to paddle against, then a nice neat little swell.

Well done all, see you all next year.
