let's say you had a starboard 10.5 in the entry-level tuffskin finish but could do an even swap for the psh 10.6 WAA -- would you and, if so, what do you think you would you be gaining, if anything?

weight

Not if it is one of the newer PSH boards.
Better in solid waves, tiny bit less stable, tiny bit slower paddler, stronger, if older board possible no handle.
Depends what you want, can you swap over for a week see how it goes?

i think it's an older one, no handle. actually, it's an even swap only in my mind (so far). there's a used psh 10.6 for sale around here for about what i could get for my 10.5 starboard.... from what i gather, tho, there's probably not enuf difference to get all worked up about it, right?

Hi Linter,

I have ridden both boards, I am 6ft and 105kg so keep that in mind.

In smaller waves there is little difference except a little less stability on the PSH.

I prefered the grip on the PSH but i like deep groved grips.

In bigger waves 5 -8 ft faces or very windy 20kT plus the PSHs weight comes into its own from my experience.

Both great boards.

i like hillys idea see if you can swap for a week or at lease a couple of surfs.
