If you wear one whilst changing on the beach then thats one thing but wearing one as casual wear whilst out may be a bit hard to stomach.

Anyone remember the snuggie add where the family were at some sort of sporting match wearing snuggies? Like gregc said wearing one at the beach while you get changed or at home on the couch is one thing, but public really?

hmmm, anyone herd of ugg boots? Crazy looking footwear that looked like slippers? Its all about comfort, feel, quality of manufacturing and lifestyle. Not perfect in every situation yet I live in mine! Same as my Surfmonk robe, the first thing I put on in the morning or when I am heading to the beach! Tera lol that almost sounds like a plug lol. Ugg boots (invented in Australia btw and stolen by the Yanks) go through cycles of being fashionable, except with our bogan sisters who will throw them on every winter with spray on jeans. I say its about time that we all hardened up. A towel was all that generations of surfers needed to get changed into lol. I say throw off the shackles that bind you to your surf monk I say become a towel monk.

I say f***k the towel, just go bare-arsed when changing! Been embarrassing my kids for years, .

But, I have to say, a few windsurfers here seem to use them. It makes sense if it's cold, windy, wet etc....which is Melbourne winter windsurfing and, often, surfing too.

I'm a big fan of my Poncho Towel, but it definitely didn't cost $200 (plus trans-Pacific postage).

Yeah, both ION and FCS do Poncho towels for grown-ups, IIRC about $35-40, and at my kids' swimming school there are kid-sized poncho towels everywhere, shouldn't be too hard to find one in 10yo girl size.

come on guys your so critical. I reckon you could easily get your money back on these things. slip one on, sit in a shop doorway with a tin can and watch the money roll in. Or tour around Tibet or Nepal and not have to buy food.

Got to love the long white "Wedding Dress" model, just the thing for a cheap as shotgun wedding. Or perhaps they make one in Black and White for collingwood fans, ideal to soak up the tears
