The tension is building.
Fanatic flat is my guess for line honours.
Looked fast just sitting on the beach......and one of the lightest.
JM looked nice too.....can't be too far behind

Apologies for the delay everyone. Teeps has some strict deadlines for his paying gig and is trying to squeeze in time to upload the results.

No pressure Teeps.. I'm sure it's a huge job going through all those stats.. A day or two longer is not going to hurt anyone.

There were five new Starboard 14s there.. Two Naish and two Fanatic's.

It's amazing just how different they all are in shape.

No woorries PT and Teeps, its a huge time commitment and this is world first!!
Fourteen on fourteen fourteens!
I think the fastest runs will be earlier in the day before fatigue set in, so I'll be looking for a fast paddler on a fast board in say the first 4 runs of the day for an outright speed winner. Too many nice boards to choose from, this sport is certainly in a huge growth phase of both numbers and technology.

Yep, I think the fanatics won.......there were at least 15 of them on the beach that day for hours and hours all suffering from a touch of SUP madness.....

S#!t, really sorry about this guys.

Had a TV show to get out and they ain't shifting that deadline! Also got a lurgy, so pretty wiped, probably from the effort required to paddle the 14 boards... and I can tell you it was a HOOT!. Yeah I know... excuses, excuses!

Will have it all for you tomorrow, promise! Thanks for your patience.

The results are very interesting, and may I say, a couple of you are pretty bang on the mark.

I can't wait to see all the results myself.. I think at one stage I got my best time on the DC14.. It felt a bit heavy but it was pretty stable.. turned well.. and fast.

dj, that was the first board in the current model range and yes it was built quite strongly so i'ts a bit heavy. i had a dw on it and it's pretty good.

the range is 30" wide and 28" wide. the locals and some of the training squad have 27" ers. there's a 26.5 just done recently and beau, who is sponsored by dc is going for a 26' er.

but having said that, most of his sales have been the 30' model i'm told.

i guess stability still counts for a lot of people

cheers

ps. dj, i reckon i've clocked well over 25 runs on the bullet now and i still can't get over how good it is. i get better and better on it each time. it's not technical, just different to use.
i'm planning to do a review and give my opinion on how to get the best out of it.
