I got told to try an small wide nosed board instead of a pointed 9'6 PSH. A mate just lent me an 8'4 x 32 x 4 1/2 with a really full nose. He also threw a 6 1/2 inch fin in it. Flat waters really well compared to the 9'6 and I can throw it around a lot better as well. Go Shorter and wider... not what the wife keeps telling me
