That is a seriously amazing video Doggy. Firstly the shells on the beach at the start are amazing !! Then everything from the camera work, lighting, special effects, music, sound effects, humour not to mention the ability of the rider !

I loved it..very inspiring ! Can't believe how good you are at surfing a race board !!

P.S. And you've definately convinced me on the Monster Paint Traction for these boards. Must be good if that's all you got on the back of that thing !!

Gunna watch it again now...

That's absolutely classic mate, how's the production values....wow that mega buck sponsorship deal sure is paying dividends

The surfing stuff is pretty amazing, good waves!

Catch ya at the Titles in a couple of weeks......I'm expecting a good showing in the VB paddle race

Hey Dog,

Great clip of you and your new Hobie! thanks.

Thats the Race version right? Did you get a chance to compare the two different widths of the Hobie 12'6'' before you took the narrower board.

Cheers

nice work. how good does it feel to crank those 12'6 suckers off the bottom and 100 metre cutbacks are fun too. i was surfing my 14' er this morning. got the displacement nose caught a few times along the line and and to do the standing jump hurl baleouts

definately looks better shot from the beach than the gopro thingys

Great Vid Dogman , i wonder how long its gunna take you to snap that thing.Im always thinking geez i rekon this thing could handle some size , but could snap easily. The paddle out would be so much easier , with some handles on you could roll under some biggish whitewater too. To expensive to risk it though.

What do you think about the speed , i love the feeling of racing the sections moving forward and back , trying to keep the nose from going under , its a real buzz.

Looks fun... soon everyone will be re designing the 12'6 raceboard to make them surf even better... and end up back with the PSH12 gun!!! which is the board everyone had to have (including me) when I started SUP a couple of years ago!

Very nice fun....nice to have a big long board that has V8-type glide & acceleration.....Towball & I cherish our 12 footers.....they make us feel like cool groovy soul surfers (except when the fact they are only 27 & a quarter inches wide makes us wobble in an unglamorous fashion)

UN 'Freakin' REAL!!

My attention span is usually about 4 minutes so when I saw this was gonna be 9 and half minutes I was was sighing before I hit the play button.

It was so good right from the start, that before I knew it I was mentally noting 'gee better make a comment about that wave at the 4 minute mark,' then I thought 'better make a comment about the wave at the 4.29, then the 5 then the 6 ...........' and so it went!

All of those waves were awesome rides!

Like everyone has already said, great filming, great editing, great riding!

Thanks for sharing.

Classic mate! As only the Dogman can!!

Loved it!!

Nothing like dropping in on a board that you know is not made for the conditions!

But then you proceed to shred it up like it was designed for it!

F@$I</N@ Classic!

Nice vid

not sure I follow the concept of riding a 12 6 race board on, compared to what we get, really good sup waves

How is the 12 6 compared to PSH 12er?

hilly, i can only speak for myself. a few of us started doing this on all our dw boards for practise- 12'5,14,16 nd 17 footers. then i was surfing 12'6 s in small crappy surf, then bigger fat surf. seeing as i don't have a surfing sup, its just progressed to thats what i take out. 12'6 will kind off do it where a 14' er over steps the mark in terms of a real wave , but it's not impossible.

while it great fun, in quality waves there has been a lot of times where i go to myself, gee how good would an 8'8 say be right now.

so yeah, its probably a waste in good waves as you are suggesting.

i'm looking at getting one of those toxic green boards for the good stuff again
cheers

Sorry Rog don't know how I missed this one , but a great video , if I took a 12-6 out in that surf I would come back with 2/ 6-3's

Great surfing on the weapon and the high tech production.
