I'll be going to see him tomorrow and give an update, looks like the rear fin and not the small side bites that hit him.

When I was talking to him yesterday he said no nerve damage so we could well see him back in the water in 3 to 4 weeks.

That's really good news - glad to hear no nerve damage or worse.

Feel for you though buddy.

Thats a great photo. As someone who has been through something similar but much worse (view profile for pic) I feel your pain Chrispy. All I can say is trust the surgeons, be patiant, train hard and you will be back in the water in no time and its the best feeling in the world. Get well soon, my thoughts are with you mate.
You will be charging again real soon.

Deano, that looks nasty, what's the story behind it.

I still rate keala from chopes as the best I've seen but gee you boys are both in the top 5.

Hope it heals quick for you crispy.

Chrispy said the surgeon took those mid operation photos! Check out the tight grip the guy has on those pliers...

Final closure operation on Saturday, and he should be home on Sunday.

Oh, and he's on the top grade narcotics and synthetic narcotics, but probably in a little bit too much pain to enjoy it! Not to mention controlled doses from the nursing staff.

Chrispy, the best thing you can do is get hold of your charts, add 15kg's to your weight, and ask the nurses to re-check the drug dose calculations, and tell them you don't think they are administering enough.
