You'll find we're all on the same page.... we all want a great forum full of our mates - jokes, laughs, good times shared, yeah? Certainly, that's what I'm after. Is that what you're after?
So, is posting 'good morning' in the shortboarding forum a troll or not .. I know if kiteboarders did that to windsurfers, it would be a troll .. maybe I've misread it here - I often make mistakes.

What I do know is, the sooner everybody can return to talking about surfing & getting along, the better!

Sorry Weiry - you seem like a great bloke and I enjoy your posts. I hope you keep them up. But I'm with Laurie on this one.
The best security guard i ever knew was a six-time aussie boxing champ who loved a beer when he wasn't working. He knew all the tricks and so he managed to diffuse situations before they had the chance to flare up. He did an annual event here and he was so good they had no trouble at all. So they said they didn't need him the following year and sure enough it was a blood bath.
The champ said if he'd let a couple of people snot each other the previous year, he would have kept the gig, but because he stopped em before it started, people thought he'd had an easy night and hadn't earned his dough.
So good on you Laurie for seeing a sign that things were going to flare up and not waiting til they did.
I reckon Mac and his mates - including Weiry here - are the best thing ever to happen to this forum. But Mac (and others), you do tend to get in pissing contests. Some of the “I want to post in the SB room” stuff is just BS. Maybe you just want to flex your muscles. But maybe if you wait until it's important enough, when you really have something to say, then admin would probably let it slide. But if it's just a cheesy “look at me, I'm in the SB room” type of “hello boys” post – why bother? I can see how you may not mean it that way, but it could look to some like a sh1t stir (Mainly due to those recent tensions. Maybe just give it a little time...?).
It's a pity admin has to step in sometimes but amazing they don't have to more often. It's that approach - along with so many good members - that helps make this a very good forum. The bullying and insane stalking stuff was dealt with. Let's all take a a deep breath, accept that the restrictions (though unwelcome in some cases) may still serve a purpose (ie... take one for the team ) --- and if anyone wants to go in to a room they aren't popular in - make the post so incredibly good - and positive - that it justifies that move. Peace out - Dave.
