Yeah, no doubt they shifted their focus, which to me kinda damages the brands street cred.

Yes they have more staff,yes a couple have long hair but they are very nice guys
and very knowledgable when it comes to boards and are gun surfers.These guys
look after the customer and go way out of the way to help the fussiest of customers
like ME
Seriously the new showroom is amazing and if I was in the game I'd would have value added
just like they have with the clothing range.

Hey Mac, like I said I think they make great boards. Especially certain models I think they take more time and care with. But as an outsider looking in I think they have lost the plot a bit. First thing is the movies. Dont actually say or do anything. The pinnacle movie. Seriously. Wtf is that. All their posts now are mostly about coffee or clothing. Both things I don't care about.. I just think whoever their marketing guy is has done a great job of making them drink the Koolaid.

The fact they dont give you any of that clothing that they plug so hard when you buy a new board now that's a controversy in itself..

What are you talking about Tux?

If it comes from a machine off a standard file its a pop out...the only difference between a board made in Byron and the North Korea being material and labour quality

If you get the file tweaked to your dims...rocker changed etc its a custom

If you get someone actually shapes it its hand shaped...they need to do more than get the 80 grit out

They make nice expensive boards and they're aiming for the hipster market...good luck to them...but there are heaps of shapers out there making good if not better boards for half the price
