I've lost contact with what's the latest in music tastes so what do you listen to hitting the road for a surf

All my old favourites have split or died.

Going back some years now-Devo,Sex Pistols,Dead Kennedy's, Inxis, Midnight oil ,Hunters&Collectors,call me mellow but I enjoy Jack Johnson Pete Murry.

I dont mind a little techno I think the song is called Memories

So what gets you going

I don't do music but regardless of my lack of appreciation for the art, I still love to hear the dozen or so timeless classics from my era.

Off the top of my head I can of 2 that will never age

For the boys

Some also ran's that tend to get my toes a tapp'n

Copper head road & Bad to the bone

For a bit of pop fluff, anything from the easybeats

And although it's been decades since I last heard it (the original that is), eevie Parts 1,2 & 3.

I know it's on Utube so I may watch it tonight, you never know I may have gone off it after all these years.

I don't really own anything post 80's - sad but true.
When I travel alone I generally listen to stuff like Gary Numan, Bob Seger, Journey, Alan Parsons, Neil Young, and 70's and 80's compilations and of course Abba.

Ok - I may own 1 lady gaga cd. (not really sure if I like it though)

I went to my nieces wedding a couple of weeks ago and the entire wedding party danced to This ant no Disco this ant no Party ,song from Talking Heads is was sooo funny.

Huxton Creepers, Ups and Downs, Vampire Lovers, Saints, Hoodoo Gurus, Painters and Dockers, Hard Ons and the list goes on, do yourself a favour and get hold of a sup (woops, wrong thread) get hold of a double CD called "Do the Pop" has all the Aussie Indie hits on it ...
Lately however, have gone down the mellow road with Mac. Even listen to doof doof every now and again. IMO, todays music is just recycled plastic from yesterday, it never sounds original to me.

The sound of a sup being cut into pieces - Ahhhhh now that is music to my ears

While we are on the music subject does anybody have either Captain Fantastic and the brown dirt cowboy (Elton John) and Rainbow Rising (Rainbow - Ritchie Blackmore) on cd ?? I have worn my cassettes out and would love to get a copy of both on cd.
