Just when you think its impossible try again,I did today on the new redline and I finally dug the tail and rail in and up the nose I went, not once but twice.I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked down and there they were the toes on the nose.

Even tho the surf was small and a little wind effected I've come home totally STOKED.

This log thing is really sucked me in,so must fun in the right conditions. So are the HP boards but I'm having the time of my life on the log atm.

Dead set, the exact same thing happened to me when I managed it on the ITP.

It's just the most amazing sight, I was transfixed just looking at my feet up there.

It's like magic.

I'm thinking "how the hell can this thing hold my weight??"

Just wish it would turn and catch waves like the Munoz, then again, I guess that's why we have quivers.

Congrats.

Cheers mate,I've always had the mind set, your kidding yourself mac at your weight thinking you can get right up there like the light weights,I'll have to say it was all in the board, volume volume and more volume.

I've always ridden HP and all rounds and never been keen on the single tho I've owned one for a few years I just couldn't ride them, wrong mind set and I never gave myself a chance that I could get up the nose so kept my volume down, all me and not Mct dudes fault.

How do they do those tint jobs?

I've just learnt how they do the Mexican blanket via Youtube but I can't quite understand that MacT finish?

If they did it like the Mexican blanket then there wouldn't be those yellow dots, they would have been blended, I think.

Sorry for the hijack but I know mac loves to talk about his quiver.

Nice work Mac - go the toes over! There are a couple of older folk that surf the point where I live and they have the cross step to nose hang wired - so smooth its always a pleasure to watch.........even though they do tend to hog the lineup at times!!

I have always been a fan of larger volumed boards - I am no Kelly Slater and a wise owl once told me that the person having the most fun was the person catching the most waves........so I thought I would step things up a bit abt 5 yrs back and went 20 + wide on my shorties and kept more volume through the nose and now I would never go back. The joy is I now have 2 * 5'10's in the quiver. Who ever would have thought my chubby ass could ride those things. Although one of those is a Sweet Potatoe so I am not sure if the really counts!
