Back to the topic for the first time:

Was surfing my local this morning with two longboard mates and we were getting more than our fair share of waves and we noticed a guy 50m further up the beach on a mal getting absolutely nothing - so I paddled up and invited him down to where we were cos we were making pigs of ourselves in the consistent glassy little waves - the guy said he thought cos we were locals he shouldn't come onto our bank Obviously I dragged the dude over and into the mix and he had a blast - he was so stoked and told us he'd been surfing down in kiddies corner for a fair while (greeny/marley) and didn't feel very welcome and found the local crew relatively unfriendly. He said he'd never really surfed beachies much before cos he thought they were very "local" - another convert

Nice work BB,the guy sounds like a good guy,unfriendly down at my local hmm,that Makaha comes out from time to time like today on a bomb and this guy I was only talking to 10 mins earlier drops in after 3 calls he kept going,I paddled past him and said hey thanks cock head,the bomb was the wave of the day beit a little over 2 foot,it was small today and 2 foot was like 10 on a day like today.
