Mac - my first McT was one of those in a 9'6 and also the first board I ever got a proper barrel A mate of mine from Caba' and I also surfed that board in some quite solid surf at back Caba in a comp' and it was a freak board in waves that sere most certainly not suitable for a 9'6.
So - almost impressed that you actually own a board I like
I'm impressed that your almost impressed
I haven't had time to ride it beit a couple of times having too much fun on the sportscar of longboards the UFO and fine tuning the single fin logs
all i can say doggie is aint gonna surf like proper shorty. took both out this arvy and will give a run down tomoz. will say they both have their pros and cons.
Get rid of the side bites, move the fin back and go watch Wayne Lynch in Evolution....you need to move your feet around a bit more than you would on your normal shortboard....move back foot forward over the centre to get speed through the flat spots and then move back over the fin to turn....if its real steep and hollow you will probably find that you can surf with your feet a bit closer together...back foot just forward of the fin....
just get in and ride the fu.....kin wave dont worry about anything else and you will be fine.
Dont know about that he is a shortboarder after all Rip that one up ya doggie
So cutting mac
knew that would wake ya up
Yea, devo over that
Well I went home last night and put the GX-Qs sides back in and adjusted the fin so the front bit of the base of the center fin was inline with the tips of the side fins. We will be getting some good swell here on the weekend so it mite be a while before I get to ride it again, but the fins are set now
