Lismore sewage plant out of action ..sewage going straight into River, then to
Ballina etc .

Waves have been on for days, timing the crowd shifts is key but good rewards ranging from 3- 6 foot over the last 4 days and more to come for next few days
Small and clean, and had it all to myself - perfect conditions to get back on a real surfboard after about 13yrs

Thanks Mac, I'd forgotten just how hard, and fun it was - back with a vengeance now.
Been getting out a fair bit now that the weather has settled down but the banks have been a bit hit and miss . That was probably the worst summer I've seen
Had the best session this morning I've had for a while, waist to head at Avalon, not too crowded, very light off shore.
These old feet are finally remembering where to put themselves.
I think part of my problem, apart from stiff hips etc, is they are used to being in windsurfer straps, and have forgotten how to move on the board.
Any way the side fins are no disadvantage, apart from grazing my foot on them last session.
I've yet to get on a good wall and try a nose ride, maybe next session. It will be very interesting to find out if the back of the board still pops out of the wave.
Got out today in some knee to waist high waves that were not bad shape . Got a few OK waves and caught up with a few people I know . Story with everyone has been the same . Terrible summer and bad banks but at least it's looking a bit better now
Been out over the last few days . Banks pretty much high tide only . Nothing to write home about but better than nothing.
Rode my old Cordinley longey at superbanks.long long runs.perfect peelers. Cooly is a great spot.
Yeah ! It gets a bad wrap crowd wise !but can still have its cruisey moment's if your on it !
Surfed this one - my local spot Saturday , bit crowded - 2 others out both longboarders 1 male / 1 female
Sunday around the corner
Today - no surf - crap gale force winds
First paddle for the summer in the 3/2
Swell yesterday - gone today
Hello strangers!
We have had a great run of swell on The Surf Coast. Nice Christmas Present for the 25th, with a surprising solid swell. Boxing Day was bigger, but junky wind direction, not really co-operating. Today was also amazing... I have probably had 1 wave on the 25th, and 2 waves today which pretty much make it into my personal Top 20 waves of all time!!
I'm 49, and still going strong! .... Although forgive, I'm back on the trusty Esky Lids! I love them when the swell is up!
Simondo
Same here Simondo,to windy, swell to big I'm on the Matt or sponge ,still quite concerned about being in the water ! than above it, where I live there are some excellent Matt riders ,nothing faster than one of them flat out !!! And all are happy to help a newbie out with tips,as it's not as easy as it looks to ride properly !as it was explained to me you can catch waves first attempt but it will take the rest of your day's perfecting it ,so much subtle stuff going on that not many can spot
Got captured on film Invasion Day at dawn Seven Mile. 60+ and proud.
