Thats a nice bike mate,,do you have lights and a bell?
I'm thinking of adding them due to early rides and peddling on a busy track.

I thought having a bell was a legal requirement? Pretty sure it is in NSW.

Yep I'm sure QLD is ditto.

I'll laminate what 515 said about a helmet light, I use one when I want the track lit like day, but for just dawn or dusk the Small light is a Good safety option , + a legal requirement as well good safety for sharing pathways.

as for a bell we have great Pedestrian/bike paths here i just hit the bell informing front traffic I'm approaching not obnoxiously but until they step to one side or look back remember some suffer from hearing issues not stubbornness.

It's like selling a 10 grand lounge and giving away a $200 candle that cost 50c wholesale

Love when business owners look after me

E mtb have motors have improved so much as lighter and good power output. They will continue to improve but sometimes I ride I get afib (atrial fibrillation) which my heart beats fast and irregularly and seeing specialist soon. Realistically to continue riding - e mtb makes sense that you can do more uphill ( which are granny gear climbs) and descents.

In NZ there are some places that do vechicle, gondola or chairlift uplift but not locally. Once we fluked a local shuttle day with ute and trailer and was awesome to save your energy for downhill blasting berms and jumps.

Wow 7k AUD is awesome pricing and we have seen price drop so there are deals out there in this economy. Agree there are some really expensive bikes and some guys spend a lot of money but probably don't surf, sup and windsurf.
Like anything you can shop for value product.

hey mate i know two people that have had that ZAP treatment where they burn some sort of electrical nerve.
both have had amazing success. both were in AF constantly.

do you stay in AF for a couple of days?

Do you keep hydrated?
caffeine drinker?

its not that uncommon..ive been around a few very fit people I'm my life that have had AF and some very young.
the two things above play a big roll, some say bull****, but keeping hydrated is a must, even more so in cold weather when you don't feel thirsty.

good luck.

The 9.8 with electronic shifting and dropper post that you need to charge separately to the motor - not worth the price difference for me.
The 9 is really good but 7 is affordable. The kona remote 160 and merida e160 5000 are on the short list.
I love my current YT analog bike but for e I think you need shop backup if motor or battery problems.

in Feb this year started riding forest again and got afib riding up steep hills but few days later doc saying no sign and low rest rate.
Next ride no problem, and we joined a gym so was getting fitter. No problem surfing, sup or windsurf only riding up steep hills.
The ride after got afib and had booked doctors appointment 9am following morning so yes doctor confirmed and on beta blockers with specialist appointment June so will see if they do the zap.
I have cut down my coffee from 4 or 5 a day to two in morning and as you say drink plenty of water.
One of my mates has afib and been really helpful and doctor has recommended reading material.
No alcohol the night before, eat well, drink plenty water and couple of bananas just before.

I used to be extremely fit even at 40 but now carry extra kgs but us kiwis are level 2 I've been windsurfing few times, sup surfing, to the gym and just exhausted. We should be getting more swell soon so keen to surf on 8'4"
