Try looking for the "Caps Lock" key.

Then press any key to continue -

caps lock can be manually switched off, also why would some one at school be asking a bunch of men at computers to entertain you. best part of my school was being with friends 8 hours a day.

Might not help with your TEE English score, but firefox2 has an inbuilt spell checker, would make your forum posts more legible.

I can't talk about spelling, it's far from my best subject, but I come from a generation that thought it was important.

Perhaps it isnt important any more, and the older generation should give up pushing the point?

Perhaps your right, but it must at least, be a help when you need to pass TEE English.

who even cares about it? I think those that do have far to much time on their hands. There are much more important things in life then worrying about spelling, grammar and punctuation i.e. Sailing. Why are you people in a windsurfing forum?, you should all go to some kind of spelling bee web site.

Sorry our posts aren't up to your high standards, but you don't have to read them.

Who says we care anyway?????

Pretty hard to sail
a when there's no wind,
b it's night time.

Surely we can amuse our selves on this forum, isn't that what it's about.

Just want to put a vote in from the "younger generation" FOR spelling. If you can't spell (in formal correspondence) you come across as a meat head.

But this is a forum so anything goes.

Spelling and grammar aren't important if you want a job as a windsurfing magazine editor - was just reading a Pommy windsurfing mag and it's littered with bad spelling, grammar and punctuation. (Like most forum posts, not that it worries me, as long as I can understand what the author meant.) But for how much the mag cost, you'd expect better.

Jord070, we have all your best interest at heart,(thus the number of replies you have) and have followed your progress from the start, and your spectacular water ejection contraption designed for removal of water from boards
Bit of a drip myself when it comes to spelling and grammar issue, but think its a sign of a person striving to achieve who wont take a back seat by trying to master the English written word system.
Your going to hit snags when applying for positions if your English word comes across as Pttthhhhhh. So keep at it, it will improve.
English teacher explained to me that "the older you get and the more your write the better you will be at it" He just didn't say in my case, (although I am sure he was thinking it) you dumb boofhead, it will take you about 250 years to get there
And Forums yep, we couldn't care less about how you write. Just make sure when its time to do it for your own enhancement, you can make a good hash of it.

Don't know how this became a spelling post, who started that crap

I personally blame it on the OBE (Outcomes Based Education) that the freaking Labor State Govt (thats for you Greenie) is pushing on our poor unsuspecting kids.

Personally as an employer, if I received an application form spelt as badly as some of the stuff on here I would just tear it up and throw it away.

Now its all clear Grumps
You want the power to sack with little notice?
You dont want to pay penalty rates?
You dont want to pay for Public Holidays?
No sick leave? 2 weeks annual leave?
Shift and weekend work for your employees no matter what... even if their children have football or netball on Saturdays or church with the family on Sundays?
And if they dont like it?... you show them the door.
And because most people have a mortgage they cant afford to leave and will sign a bullsh1t AWA.

Greenie, you brainwashed dork, I was just saying that if a resume came through spelt like that I would not bother reading past the first paragraph.
