I've never sailed off the Shellharbour pool before, could be cool to check out. Sounds a little hardcore going via some of the descrptions of the place.

I had a quick sail at Peggy's this arvo, some nice waves coming through. Could end up there again on Sat, we'll see :)

I'll plant a plastic one.

the Z-man is going great. The way he guzzles liquid will put anyone at the Fishoes to shame.

Big southerly this weekend. A certain kook from Hornsby is coming down.

Make sure you get footage in maurituis

Dont you call a Horsnby Head a kook qwertz!!!
He is a very refined, sober individual. Doesnt like a drink or party but does know how to wavesail.

Well, ka43, a condition of entry to the magical Illawarra region, Mr Hornsby will be required to make a sacrifice to the gods just like everyone else. He knows the rules. And yes he sure can wavesail, especially after a blinder. I remember him winning a comp at Windang after puking on his rig during the heat, no doubt due to the poison he consumed at the Fishoes the night before.

Comrade Qwerty
This is not true.... there is no poison at the Fishoes, only amber nectar and extremley inviting fridges just calling out to be invaded

Who cares if this hornsby kook can sail or not. I bet he isn't hardcore. Hardcore is more a state of mind man than ability, you just gotta go out there and go big man. Who care if you can pull loops and sh!t. I just go big man and that makes me hardcore.
Sunday will sort the boys from the man. I'll be going sick man but I have a bbq I got to go too. I'll be slammin beers amd bourbons like theres no tomorrow and people will be just like "man he's hardcore" cause eye M!

Well that was what could only be described as nuclear. Peak gust at the Bellambi wind meter (Wollongong) was 44kts :o I ended up going out at the north end of south beach. It wasn't too bad there actually as it had a lot of west in it. Cross off with some pretty damn big sets coming through. Way too windy for me to ride the waves properly though, bottom turns were a sketchy propostion; I needed a 3.5m or something :P I only ended up staying out for about 30min because it was just so windy and with no one else around i'm a bit hesitant. Had a good laugh a the people trying to play golf though. Who plays golf when it's blowing 40kts anyway?

I went and checked out Shellhabour pool earlier and saw a few guys out there, didn't look the best though. Not so good when it's SW there? And the sufers looked annoying :P

When I was driving home the NorthBeach bommie actually looked really good. I've sailed there a lot in a NE'r but it looked sweet this arvo. Bit sketchy getting off the beach though as it's pretty sheltered in a SW'r. Might go check it out in the morning, however I imagine the swell tomorrow will be nuts and the wind on the dying side.

How F***ing windy was today?!!!

CJW, that was myself and Whyner out at Shellharbour. Was a bit of hard work at times. Could barely hang on in some of the gusts. Pretty offshore. Some nice waves did roll through as the swell increased. The surfers didn't really cause too many hassles.
The wind picked up even more after we packed up. Had to be 50 knots.

I reckon it'll be on again tomorrow morning. Bigger waves for sure. Still should be mega windy all morning.

Yeah I saw you guys get a few nice waves but they looked a bit sparse when I was there, but the swell built up pretty fast. Even in the 30 min I was out (2-2:30) the swell built up heaps, looked a bit light on the inside too. I probably would have joined you guys had I sailed there before; I was sitting there thinking, they didn't jump off those rocks did they? You must have sailed down from the beach up or something.

Anyway it sure was f@*$ off windy, I mean I had my 4.1 depowered as much as possible but I was still getting blown off the water, literally.

yeah launched at South Shellharbour Beach and came in at Shellharbour beach. Could have tacked back around to south beach again but the downwinder was pretty cool.
Pretty good setup for a few wind directions around there.
