I had a friend ask, who can see us windsurfers from his balcony, "Why do you want to windsurf every afternoon? You just go across and back, what's the point of it?" "There' s no point to it," I said, " But if you could fly, just by putting your arms out, fly above the water, fast or slow, and turn, and touch the water, and fly across the bay again on a beautiful sunny afternoon, or even a rainy day, and fly downwind, and back upwind again, why wouldn't you want to do it. Why wouldn't you want to do it nearly every day of you life."
