I can't decide whether to go to wello or VP. I obviously want to go to the one with the most wind and swell.

maybe 10-12 knots on the bay. good formula weather though haha.

Well that was a fizzer. Just me n Albert out at VP. He sailed 40 nm, half of it dredging with a 7.2 and I was out on a widey with a 6.5. The only reason I had the 6.5 up was because I didn't think I'd get going anyway with a 7.2 so I thought I'd practice some light wind fs. In the event I was planing for an hour or so. It was worth it though - cold feet n all.

bellara is prob better in a westerly. i just checked the locations guide and i think i may have to update that one. still i believe wello to be the king in a westerly.

my thoughts on the weekend is saturday we will get a WSW. this is a very good direction at bongaree. actually in a SW or WSW bongaree is probably the best place around. then sunday SW and howling.

at this stage looking towards a saturday meet. will keep an eye on things and confirm as usual. but big green light.........

next meet is in the planning, will be redcliffe and big event.

then the following meet shoud see us hitting Kirra in august. fingures crossed. and NW's on schedule

hopefully after that off to mooloolaba for a N/NE.

then who knows. the wind will show us the way!

Well Sunday's out for me, I can only make it on Saturday. I'm keen to check out a new spot as well.

yep saturday is on!

the location is south esplanade at the bbq on the foreshore.

so you drive over the bridge, go around the round about and head back towards the bridge,
the turn left before you go back over the bridge and follow the road along the foreshore.
then turn right into the apex park at bongaree. follow the road over the small bridge and keep going into south esplanade.

i'll have the marquee setup in front of the bbq to act as a wind break.
