Just a heads up that i am looking towards saturday the 29th for the next installment of the windwanderers.

SurfFx on the goldy have come onboard as sponsors for the club and are helping to put on a meet at Kirra in the surf.

all the usual events planned, bbq, giveways, and this time some wave sailing (hopefully).

after talking with the guys at SurfFx we decided that if the NW's don't eventuate in the next week or 3 but we get a nice strong SE'er then we'll move the event to the train.

The preference however is Kirra, so we will wait and see what the wind is up too!

It might be a great optunity to hit the surf for the first time... and sneak some pointers off the guns.

Keep in mind that the following weekend (Sunday 7th) is a WQ race meet. Could be tricky for those who are only allowed out to play on one day of the weekend.

Gestalt I've been dying to try Kirra. Save it for a windy Sat and I'll be there. Haven't surfed there for 25 years.

saturday 9th looks good. all of the models seems to suggest NW-N winds. seems only 1 day will be good so hopefully we can time it right.

will wait and see as things will always change weather wise but currently 20knots seems to be the suggestion.

Today was a surprise. Headed off expecting 10 to 12 knots and got a pretty good 14 to 18, maybe a bit more.
