cheers everyone for joining in. It was good to see we out numbered the kiters for a change.there were so many windsurfers on the water that i couldn't fit them all into the frame when taking photos. i think there were more people on the water than i have seen at wello before.
We got another 4 new members too!
i am in the process of doing the review for the website and should get that up in the next few days.
big thanks to Board Crazy for sponsoring the bbq and drinks for all. really appreciate it after a long day on the water. Simon and Wim were the lucky winners of the board crazy wetshirts in the giveaways.
also big thanks to Windsurfingsales for the gun boom giveaway. Dan the man had a pretty big grin on his face when i handed the boom over. (and why not!)
i thought at one point we might not get any wind but after the cloud cleared all was good. 5-20 knot Westerlies(perfect formula weather
)
Haircut also had his helmet cam there. so hopefully there'll be some good vids of everyone. i had a bit of a look on the beach and the footage was superb.
i got to watch Vando on his 68lt speed stick blast through everyone like they were witches hats. can still hear his hooting in my head.
And as usuall we were all still around the bbq long after the sun had dissappeared. kruza brought the instant party with him that doubled the numbers. was good!
next meet will be at the beginning of june. we wil se what the wind and direction are before firming location up. (hopefully your ribs will be mended by then mikey100)
padi, don't convert our young guns. you already got enough on the darkside. [}:)]
nebbian, appreciate you making another long drive.
drjukka, i told qldsalty we call lota tiger alley.so i guess hobbie and qldsalty will be back at wello again in the NW.
thanks again everyone for joining in and the sponsor for making the day an event.
p.s. notwal. what are you on about? is that a typo?
p.p.s Curac, the guy on the front page of the wanderers website is a pro that i took some shoots of a while back at North Kirra. he has apparently moved to tasmania to get some massive down the line action and will soon be travelling up the east coast in search of the magic wave.
I also have the photo of the landing.he is actually in the banner photo on the website to. kind of a where's wally, you got to look real hard.

thanks Mike, will do. I'll upload it overnight tonight.
It's 70mb, 500 x 370 resolution at 25 fps and runs for nearly 13 minutes.
I don't want to disappoint everyone, but unless you sailed within 5 to 10 metres of me it is highly unlikely you'll recognise yourselves because the lens makes everything appear further away than it really is, the wmv compression, plus it's overcast. I think you'll still enjoy it for the novelty factor. The DVD version is much better.
Nebs, I'll upload a 10 mb sample at the same specs so u can decide whether to download it or not
cheers
