After years of doing just a vulcan here, vulcan there I thought $@#@ it this season i'm nailing them. Went hard at it right from the beginning of this and now have them pretty consistent....on one tack. So my aim is vulcans on the other tack and then shakas and flakas. A big floaty shaka is I reckon one of the coolest tricks around....but holy moly I reckon i'm going to go through some sails/gear trying to get them If my first few attempts are anything to go buy.

Also, think Rad Lad is being more Hardcore then you

Nah.

I'm so hardcore that when my girlfriend told me she didn't want to see me anymore, I poked her eyes out.

Nailed a vulcan last weekend at Sandy (I was soooo close for soooo looooong)... now aiming for Spocks and Flakas (think the Spock might happen way before the Flaka)...

Saw that mate!

Epic!

At the stage of attempting flat water backloops almost there. About three quarters. i agree with CJW, shakas and shovits are sick tricks attempting and failing them also.

Gonads n loops (like Nebs)
Gotta do it. Even if it takes hypnosis. Self respect demands it.

Some other old school stuff that I have been trying in a desultory way for years without success.

Make a start on Vulcans.

Bonus points for using the word "desultory"

Bigger more floaty chop jumps, consistent duck jibes and vulcans which i think will probably take forever to master, can pop the board out in flat water so it's a start.

Wow, impressive words...

Anyhow, be precise: what old school stuff, as in buying her flowers or water moves ? (And if windsurfing, what moves?)

Forwards - i can do it without the board no problems its just when im in the estuary and i do a big enough jump to do it i think im too close to the water and i will hit my mast or something, and to jump in the estuary i need to point upwind which is bad im told.

then when im in the waves i do big enough jumps to clear my mast and i think uh oh im too high i dont wanna get hurt

That and goin over 35kts would be good im only 1.6kts away...

On flatwater: duck tacks and donkey jibes (essex duck)
In the waves: better bottom turns and cutbacks
In chop: getting up the nerve to throw a loop
nonplaning: anklebiters

Forward loop, like MavericK040, can do them no probs without the board as I chicken out and fly out of the footstraps.

Land a backloop, always over rotate and land on my rig.

Vulcans, have gotten about halfway for the few I have attempted.

Upwind 360.

Gecko.

Want to come out of gybe still planning. Maybe try some strap-to-strap, or even a duck.

I like to call this move the "Rock Lobster".

Launch into the jump as if you are going to do a forward then throw the rig away,

wave your arms and legs about like a crustacean, emit the cry of the lobster,

re-enter the ocean, retrieve gear, repeat.

Got a new one I was working on today...it's called 'grind your board full speed over ****loads of coral when you think the tide is high enough', the other one happens at the same time 'smash hell out of your new MFC fin'.
Come to think of it, maybe I shouldn't keep practising those ones.
But seriously, trying to plane out everytime. Get my port tack gybes happening & get as much air as possible.

Prescription sports glasses (with proper neck band), that's the trick
Well you see the basketballers wearing them, so they'd be okay I reckon

I tought a mate with normal glasses, he put on his older/cheaper glasses, and that band thing connecting to the ear bits, and was fine, didn't lose em or break em

Is the essex duck really a move if it's not in the all-the-moves bible?

Got a link?
