The less fin in the water and the more raked the better. That weed can get very thick and very close to the surface.
Same patch of water on a lower tide. Just to highlight what Decrepit said, watch the speed drop as I hit the thicker weed at about the 40 second mark. (don't watch the whole thing - fast forward to about 30 seconds in) I was using a FF22(cutdown28) and Simmer SCR8.6, 12-13 knots breeze.
