The announcement that changes are on the way went up on approximately the 11th of September, so just on 3 months ago.....

If the GTC was a paid for site you could ask for your money back, as it is you just have to be thankful for what you get!

Thanks decrepit.

I am very thankful for any voluntary work anybody is able to do on the GPSTC. So many thanks to all vounteers who work on the GPSTC.

Is there any indication on the design intent that is being targetted?

I think many may be in limbo with their GPS device and wondering if the GPSTC changes will allow for (less) limitted access to the GPSTC with devices that are currently not approved. I know I would be happy to be able to be part of the GPSTC whilst have my data not contribute to team results/records when using a non-approved device. During this time I have posted with a Garmin but reducing my speed results by a factor of 100 so as to not effect team results/records but I have been informed this is unacceptable. Unfortunately current and known future products that meet the requirements for GPSTC fall well short of my personal requirements for a device of this type.

You'd need to ask Nebs, we remind him at regular intervals.

Is there an option to get some help for Ben if he's tied up with other things? I haven't done HTML for 20 yrs but I'm sure someone out there in the GPS community would have the web / database skills needed if he was willing to open it up.

Again, you'd need to ask Ben, but somehow I doubt it.

GPSTC needs a donation button like WSTV, beer or programming. This could assist with the upkeep of a free servive.

Or just make it a paid service, why should it be free?

I use GPSTC way more than my insurance companies and dish ****e loads of $s to them for pretty much no return (its an example, ok!)

We should all be helping the boys bring GPSTC forward, and it takes time.

Dave money isn't the problem, we've offered to pay Ben for his work, but he's just too busy.

Ben has given this site to us.
That old saying is probably appropriate here.

LOL, dont they drink?

I wish that i was savy and could help.

Someone should ask Julien for after the Motions become factory automated and he has nothing to do. (joking!!)

Maybe money could be used to pay someone else to do it, who is in the industry of programing and the sort. IDK!

Ben is the only one with access to the site, you'd need to persuade him first. It's his baby. I doubt he wants anybody else fiddling with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Decrepit. Ben has previously agreed to make the changes?

Thanks, Andrew. Well, considering the number of interested parties, a response would be appreciated from Ben.

I'd be interested in the statistical basis of your 'number of interested parties'.

That poll doesn't count, it was not taken with an approved device
