These videos are hurting me badly

It would be good to know who had to be tested for covid, where they got the test done, how long did it take and how they isolated until the first result. I am checking the SA Police and gov website and still they say Sydney is a prohibited area, hopefully they will update tomorrow if the rules change as promised.

Meanwhile in the US,where any testing and isolation requirements after travel are rare, and enforcement is even rarer, this traveler from Massachusetts to Texas (about the same distance as Perth - Lake George) had to try to escape another traveler from Nebraska who tried to explain to me that I obviously did not like waves since I was foiling in 20 degree weather, rather than just putting on an "insulated wetsuit" and windsurfing in near-freezing temperatures in the Gorge. Sharing his wisdom was much more important to him than keeping distance, and one-word answers to his questions only encouraged him to continue the "conversation". But the good news is that daily cases have dropped below 150,000, and the number of people currently hospitalized below 100,000.

Looks like a return trip to Lake George from "the land of the free and the home of the brave" will remain a pipe dream for a long time...

Hey, I managed to make a mess once again. Is there anyone going to Lake George now who could find/collect 5 Mini Motion to lend to a group who's already there? They were waiting for the LCD version and I said I'd find a solution for them, expecting to send Mini as a stopgap, but I missed the mark and Lake George is special delivery by TNT so it takes 4 days on top of the regular shipping to Australia. I'm guaranteeing the device of the lenders if they are lost/destroyed/whatever. Thank you!

Interesting, but can we use it?
Between the lines water rising and travelling downwind, on the scum line water falling and going upwind.
So does the rising water give more lift, and faster down wind, but falling water less lift but helps going upwind?
But there again it's square to the wind, so probably not going to help either.

The speed of the water rising will be to slow to be noticed as "lift" on your board, but perhaps the bubbles in the scum lines will give your board a less wetted surface area and thus more speed..

There is definitely something coating the surface of the water. As the wind increases it emulsifies with the water to form foam. This foam streams down the lake in parallel lines about 500mm apart. The foam gathers on the surface when trapped by weed or snot grass when it's close to the surface of the water. There are currently huge areas south of the spit and on the eastern shore opposite 5 mile of glass smooth frothy water in up to 25kts of wind

This is very interesting, it could be mucilage..
