Two new clubs became affiliated to Windsurfing Queensland today.

We are sorry for the small delay with the paperwork but unfortunately the club tax return, the incorporation, work and life in general got in the way for a little bit there. Either way the WindWanderers and the SEQ Wavesailing clubs are up and running and you will be able to join them to enjoy all of their upcoming events.

Both clubs look like they are set to make the best of the season with a number of awesome events scheduled to help us all get out on the water in a fun and social atmosphere.

You now have four clubs to choose from, all with varying venues and covering most of the disciplines from Freestyle to longboarding. We welcome all of the new clubs and wish them all the best in their first year as independent entities. We hope you can all get behind the clubs to ensure they are here for us all to enjoy again next season.

I've just been having a putacleen and found this video i chucked together from the slalom racing at manly in march of this year. I'm pretty sure i posted it at the time but no one could play it on their computer, so i've re compressed it. it's about 32mb and can be downloaded here.

Windows media player probably won't play it, and you will most likely need quicktime player, media player classic, or VLC player instead

tried it on the work beast,

xeon cpu, dual quadro, 4gig ram, 21in lcd, win xp 64 bit

was a bit jumpy and pixelated.

will try it at home tonight also.

orsm thankyou. did the start bit with the sail n board in the water play smoothly, and does the sound work on your machines? can you tell me what player you guys use? I notice quicktime makes it jerkier and chews more cpu than mp-classic and VLC .

yeah, i think QT player is suss. the shutter speed of the cam is 1/2000 which is why it looks jittery so there's no motion blur. i'm mostly concerned that the video doesn't intermittently pause whenever there is high motion in high contrast areas.

Yeah i was using it with quicktime but just tried WMP and it is much better. Sound does Work

P4 3.4GHz 1gig ram its an oldy but goodie

The flashy 3S board and the cruisy music is great chillout

Keep them coming, great to see Aus movies with real sailors (aka no crazy pro's) in locations i've actually seen (you can actually understand how to sail like that and try to copy, unlike the pro vids where you go how they do that?)
