i hope it comes to fruition dave. it's about time

maybe the dolphins that we see every year we go there will be there again also.
even though the last few meets there have seen light winds i still have good memories. watching people beach start off the 30' deep shelf at the edge of the passage is up there.

the water there is the coldest i've felt anywhere as well.

i'm looking forward to returning. i sailed there every weekend as a youngster. it could be a wild place and very rewarding.
pebble beach was also a fav spot. dead flat for a couple of kilometers in the right wind. learnt the art of the fall off gybe there in the shallow safe waters.
i always new bongaree was an aboriginal name but didn't know the connection. probably learnt it in school doing local history. the brains a bit softer these days. i do remember the whole area having large significance to the aboriginal community. Caboolture is aboriginal for carpet snake. there are also local spirtual locations (bora rings) i have visited in the past around the glass house mountains.
