Took the 5.5 out again today at El Bog. It was awesome. I had to fight off a mob of RAF and cam sailors telling me the sail needed less outhaul. It was hard work convincing them that it had it's own rigging requirements. I was blasting around with the guys on 7.0 sails and bigger boards. I'm really happy with it. Thanks for your tips Jonesy about the outhaul. I can't remember where I read it - where you said use the two maximum outhaul setting strings). Good tip.

Hi anyone had any experience with 2014 8m cheetah? Im looking to get one as my goto sail. Im 105kg n 6'2". Used to sailing old tight leach aerotechs. Wind speed 10-25kts. Will this be enough sail to keep me crankin. Or too big? I mostly use 7.2 aerotech pro race.

Not at all.....to big .
you will find you will handle it no problems .great size to have .
I'm 96 kgs and mainly use my 2015 8.5 cheetah .i sold my 8.0 .
because I wasn't using it ,as the 8.5 was just that little bit better in light wind .
but if you can get a 2014 8.0 at a good price... go for it ....,you will have it for years .
it will be a great add to the quiver .

Sail presents as new. Been used about 8 times. $300 Au. Will it be ok for 90s style boards with Mastrack postion further forward ?

Sure.... ...$300 's a great price ......
remember the cheetahs are very adjustable ...

put it this way it will be better than a '90's sail .
