Im sure this has been brought up before but has anyone actually ever tested 2 identical boards but with 2 different bottom finishes: matte and glossy? I guess to make it legit the test would need to be conducted in the same day with same rider and rig.
The oldish article on the boardlady website still suggests matte finish is faster but it seems counter intuitive. I guess its like countersteering on a bike.

What do you think the maximum (effective that is) sailsize is for the 47?
would a 7.0 still go?

Ned 321, I've sailed my 47 with a 7.0 reflex II a handful of times now. It is still comfortable as long as you have enough fin. Effortless speed and great fun to jibe

Down in Luderitz Anders is showing how good Chris designs are.Guess many people are stocked to see how fast the new 63L can be.Even if Anders won't take the bullet 50+ peak v-max is a super strong result for a production board.

Said that I'd like to read some user feed about the SL 137.... It seems the 112 ones are more common.

Loving my new Mistral SPeed 47, so easy to sail and goes over chop like it's not there. Works well with my KA Assy Speed fins and also my Vector Delta Speed 21cm.

Only sailed it a couple of times but first time i used it i broke 40 knots for the first time after a few years of trying to get past that elusive barrier

Also have the Mistral Speed 95 but haven't had the chance to sail it yet
