Any polarised sunglasses. Get cancer council ones. Usually 40 bucks. Add a head strap. Sometimes chemists shops have them at two for $20, Get two.

This thread reminded me to get some new sunnies. So off I go and order some Dapto sunnies from the Cancer Council web site (awesome suggestion Shifu).

On the water yesterday and discovered these sunnies are definitely *not* polarised. I got them home and tested them on an LCD display to see how bad they were. The interference pattern looked like a collidoscope !. Basically, cheap ****ty specs have ended up in their stock. So, I wrote to Cancer Council last night explaining this. This is the response I got today:

Hi Jason, Thank you for your enquiry. All Cancer Council sunglasses conform to Australian Standard AS1067:2003 and eliminate 100% of horizontally reflected glare. All Cancer Council eyewear is independently tested by accredited laboratories such as ORLAB to ensure that the highest quality UV protection is offered to our customers. We stand by our polarised sunglasses and can ensure the Dapto Sunglasses have been labelled correctly by our manufacturer (please see attached photos). If you wish to purchase another of polarised sunglasses that are similar to the Dapto Sunglasses, I can recommend the Daruka Sunglasses or Tooma Sunglasses. Alternatively, you can view our full range of men's sunglasses here: www.cancercouncilshop.org.au/category/sunglasses/men.To determine whether a particular pair of sunglasses has a polarised lens, this information can be found under 'lens' when a colour within a style is selected or it will be listed in the 'product description'. Hope this answers your enquiry. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Kind regards,

A completely incompetent bull** cut/paste response that has insulted my intelligence. They have completely ruined their reputation for everything they claim and have ever claimed about their products now. How can I trust them ?

So, now I'm on the hunt for something else. I'm happy to pay. My eyes are getting stuffed now. I need something from a company/store that is "reputable".

UV wraps from Bunnings. A few years ago there was a story that cancer council sunscreen did nothing.

Hi there,
I am kitting already for many years with the technical shades from OCEANSUNGLASSES. I have light eyes so it is a must for me to go protected.
Very technical and confortable shades at afordable prices. Many different models to chose.
I think they ship worldwide through their website www.oceanglasses.com
Last time I purchased from them I used a 30% disscount code (PRESENTOCEAN). It might be still working.
