When it is busy...you sit....& you wait....
.....& you wait a bit more.....& then some one moves..
.....& you rig up...& you go for a sail...
...& nothing else matters.

Work & adapt to the conditions (like when out on the water)

Call me what you like - waiting around for three hours with a 20-30knt forecast (happens everywhere)(after finding a park in 30 minutes) buying a board off someone that met me there for that reason and watching a few people sailing in 12 -15 knts of gusty wind on 120+ litre boards with 7m sails - I seem to have lost the enthusiasm to dodge the arrogant picnicers and rubbish they leave everywhere, (including the water) fifty jet skiers that are doing 360's amongst the swimmers. Beer was a better option - we are used to pulling up in the carpark and just sailing
Example 2 - Went to town to look at the star wars and aquarium with the kids (got there early)- 1-1/2 hour line up at the power house and didn't bother to stand in the estimated two hour wait at the aquarium that went all the way to the pyrmont bridge.
I enjoyed the sails I had at Kyeemagh and Wanda - Love sailing somewhere different - but seriously it's a bad time of the year to be in Sydney and when its like this it just detracts from the experience and makes you realise lucky we have it in SA.
Sorry to hijack the thread for a minute
