Looks like another windy day tomorrow, sw or ssw.. Where's everyone sailing?

Quiet a few options, depending on what direction the wind actually comes in..

Andy Hamilton an east coast surfer told me kelvedon works best on a SW swell.
forecast 2-3m seas with 2-3m SW swell reckon that's worth a shot ......can't pass this up I'll be up there 10.30

Wind is forecast to swing SSW around 9:30. As You say Ant it's worth the gamble.
We had some great sessions last year in similar conditions. Buxton is a good fallback.

The word is swell ,plenty of it east so my local buxton guru said ,just need the wind to play ball. Yee hah.

I'm sailing down south somewhere. Don't want to take the east coast risk as I just want to get out in the water. Anyone GPSing anywhere down south?

Kelvo 9 sailors sets 3/4 mast with a few coming in at mast solid wind down the line carnage......... Using Fluros word .......SICKNESS............. oh and where was he??

I know it's been said, this time it's true....The best wave sailing session of the season by a country (East Coast) mile . Warm weather, Big smooth faced sets and wind. Stoke factor 10... Siiiick

Come on fellas no need to stir the pot too much. It was only 10knots and 1-2 foot, just another average crappy day for the southern wave sailors.

you don't need a key for Mortimer. There's 2 locks on the gate pin and one has been broken off (not me). 7 out at mortys yesterday. reasonable session with wind blowing 15-30 knots.

I STILL haven't damaged gear! YEAH! I LOVE it when your gear doesn't get damaged.

Greenie did damage gear the other day though - he dropped something on some gear and cracked it. Luckily he wasn't injured. Happens to the best of us...no matter how good we are, especially when you sail as hard as we do up here...

Only about an hour and a half travel to get to Buxton(Kelvedon), no boredom will be found there. Maybe a bit of gear damage though

Hey Clarky, next time we have a forecast like yesterday's get yourself to Kelvendon. You won't be disappointed. I'm still frothing after our session!
It's not that much further from Launceston than the trip from Hobart.

We are definitely out of the habit of looking further afield, and need to refocus our radar to South, East and West...

Shares in all industrials stocks rose last night with the sailboard industry leading the way with news of the shortage of sails and masts in two more Tasmanian households.The amount of carbon fibre and mono film lost at Buxton point is driving this resurgence in manufacturing

Ps . Got there for the last hour missed all the carnage didn't see Ant on the water(coincident )?

I ( Michele Durbin), Phil and Hilary ended up at Dorans yesterday - checked Mortimer out after - defs want to try it out - what great looking spot. Dorans was fun but SSW forced us way over northern side. Why never hear much about Mortimer on the forum?

Your old gps which is made of a piece of string tied to the clock in central Launceston and around your neck was great when you were a little baby and mummy didn't want you leaving her sight. Your mummy rang me the other day she's worried about you said you're pretty depressed I said mummy maybe you should cut that string off his neck and let him spread his wings you can still keep tabs on him by putting a micro chip tracking device up his bottom so when goes for his first reall adventure he'll find his way home.
