Can anyone help me the specific name/address of E-go's Naval Base freight depot?
I have a board in transit (somewhere) which was destined for Kewdale, but when I rang the Depot they told me their contract had been cancelled. E-Go won't give me a specific delivery address, but did say "Naval Base". I need to know so I can check latest status and hopefully avoid a 4hr return trip from home near Bunbury.
Theres a LOT more I would like to say about this situation, but best I refrain....

Hi Stretch, I have a login account and the Naval Base depot 6165 is stated in drop down menu when seeking a quote(s) as:
JFM FREIGHT
43 HOPE VALLEY ROAD
NAVAL BASE, 6165
However, suggest you make further enquiries with them direct to confirm. I guess the Falcon 89 is in transit !
Good luck.
Thanks Mark and Richard, that is the only name I could find but they weren't answering my call. Will try again tomorrow (whilst in Perth).
Yep the 89, my first "new" board in nearly 20yrs so I'm pretty nervous about it's safe delivery.
Something decidedly dodgey about this. Streetview shows that address just with an empty yard, no signage. Yellow pages indicates this address is an earthmoving contractor. I'm guessing that E-Go didn't really sort out their logistics before cancelling the Kewdale contact and that's why they're being evasive.
only contact number for JFM is in SA
Defo getting a sinking feeling.
Do all of these things:
1.message e-go and ask them direct by email...as per website
I note Hunter Express refers to the following on their website:
www.hunterexpress.com.au/about-us/locations
Contact 2.
LEE'S TRANSPORT
43 HOPE VALLEY RD
NAVAL BASE 6165 WA
Maybe look them up, email them and call them....... www.leestransport.com.au/contact-us/
3. AND JFM at: JFM Freight Management Australian Operations Office:Email: operations@jfmfreight.com.auCall us: +61 488 998 081
and be relentless...
Thanks Richard, yes will do all. Have already done 1 and getting evasive replies (will persist though). 2 is a new lead - thanks. 3 Is located in Adelaide but they might know something.
relentless - hell yeah!!
And the winner is Lee's Transport!
They're checking for my package now.
It was interesting, when I asked the guy if they are the new depot, there was a long pause then I think he made his mind up to tell me and said "yeh" its us. Weird behaviour, I guess arrangements are not fully in place, but it is rather unfair to the customer. Open and transparent communication always wins in my book!
Thanks again for your help RichardG

Stretch your welcome. Cheers Rich
That's on my way home from work Rob, be happy to pick it up for you if you cant get there. Hope they find it!!!
Thanks Rog and Busso Steve also. While the freight experience has been disappointing (I don't mean Lee's, they have been very friendly and helpful), the helpfulness of fellow windsurfers has been really uplifting. Sounds a bit corny I know, but it's 100% true. What a great sport
You all rock
not all of us rob.
I was going to give them a call and offer them a carton to
run it over with a forklift.... that's the ratz version of the handicap system
though for the handicap to be really effective I would need to sabotage those bloody carbon arts
rob pushes to serious speeds.
foot is getting better
stitches out on Friday....
Perfect timing for a sail this weekend Rat. Time for booties maybe?
BTW, I'm doing a perfectly good job of destroying my Carbon Art all on my own
Yeehaah, board has arrived at Lee's, who have been excellent to deal with.
E-Go on the other hand have been terrible, honest communication would have cost them nothing, I cannot pile enough bile on them.
Will be sending them the nastiest possible message in due course....
Thanks to Swindy for pickup
I can see why he was stressed, that's a lovely looking board......and if it is the first in 20yrs......
hmm no tire prints and no fork holes
I think the buggers took my carton and didn't deliver the agreed upon handicaps to robs board.
cant trust anybody these days.
going to have to go back to undoing his vent plug when he is not looking.
Stretchys board arrived safe and well with no freight damage. It looks good in my van.
Oooh - that is very very very nice....
You'll have some fun with that!
humpf... looks slow! and heavy. Sell it Swindy!
Red boards are faster in straight lines and also around corners. There is a guy in Busso who wants to buy it I think.
Yep 20yrs Mark. Last new was a JP 98l FSW. Paid $1400 from Reg with the proceeds from my Econovan being rearended in Waneroo on the way back from Lancelin. Nothing over $600 since, but not complaining, I'm lucky to have a family to keep my wallet slim, plus my CA52 has been a terrific board
The saga is over now. Thanks to Swindy, Fangy and Slugger for helping out.
First sail with my board at Australind today, it goes well (39kt peak) very happy with it
piccy today before the wind picked up
.....and E-Go have received further communication that their communications leave a LOT to be desired. I expect that will achieve absolutely nothing, but you have to try...
