Lots of interesting development. Axel Mazella was incredibly fast at Defi Wing on the new ozone parawing - but the second place parawinger (relative to the entire fleet, including the wingers) was a long way away. So in this case the rider was really the deciding factor. Really keen to see if they can make a parawing perform better than a wind wing when powered.

Agreed.. but in Defi conditions, there's lots of factors that go into it, and there was a huge amount of algae in the water this year. I'd like to see a bigger sample size of consistent performance from parawings vs dual skins before I make any conclusions :) My ozone dealer told me that no details about the afterburner were available yet. But, I'd imagine if someone were to make an insane race parawing, it would be ozone! Don't want to take away credit from Axel, the guy has been a monster for many years.

I'm a bit confused. This definitely looks like a single skin but I was told Johnny Heineken was at the hatch with it this week and it's a double skin now? Perhaps they shifted gears on it?

Definitely single skin at the moment. There's a lot of white "ribbing" on the inside where the lines attach to, which is probably why people are thinking it looks like a double skin.

Lines looks to long for the after burner in the Instagram post. It's a no go for me. MAX 180cm . But you need longer line for race. But they want people go upwind and downwind.. Hmm confusing.

Basically I think they’re just saying it has great low end, massive wind range and excellent top end, easy stashing, super fast and best upwind/ vmg on the market.

I have the new PRv2 and even in the 3m i still perform a double pull. It has no negative once you know how to do it . I don't think its worth having really short lines considering what you give up, give me the PRv1 lines any day and they pack heaps better. I noticed even Dimitry in Mauritius is doing the double pull on all brands. It creates a very tight gathering with the last pull being more powerful and doesn't stress the shoulders at their extremities.

just joking around of course, I don’t really see why so many people are focused on the 4 a’s method of going up the lines. Yes it allows you to kill the para even when it’s really overpowered but you have a mess of lines to collect afterwards. Sure if you’re riding waves in cross/ cross off conditions that might be the only way but going downwind I find it easier, quicker and cleaner to collect all the lines at once

I would be surprised if ozone did the afterburner with overly long lines. Seems like their setting the benchmark when it comes to line setups and it’s been a good selling point for them so surely they’d keep it going.

Then ozone already have the parawing for you. Pocket rocket v2 with all the disappointments mentioned by the xfoils guys but still the market leading wing for those with your preference on short lines.

It's all the money in your wallet weighing you down. You'll definitely be lighter/faster after buying that.
