Just bought a brand new 2023 severne freek foil 4.8.
tomorrow i will go and play with it.
I decided to rig it before i go.
what i was suprised about that it needed quit a substantial ammount of downhaul.
a downhaulhelp (old harness bar) was needed.
i asked a mate of mine (who owns a 5.2) if he had similair experience.
but he said it rigged easily.
anybody got the same experience with a freekfoil 4.8?

ps i rigged it on a rrd 430 80% constant curve mast.
could a severne mast be such a diiference?

Yep, i know how that feels.

Certain lakes here in the netherlands are better avoided during cetain months because of spawning fish.
in one hour i’d have at least 10 of those gracious dismounts.😀

Hey, thanks for noticing my video. A lot of time has passed since that session, and I’d like to share one of the biggest things I’ve learned since then.
For wave riding, I now take my back foot out of the rear strap and place it closer to my front foot. Having a narrower stance over the foil gives me much better balance and makes the board feel far more controlled in the waves.
When I want to jump or go fast, I put both feet back in the straps, of course.
This is how I ride now.

Man, i always enjoy your uploads.
makes me want to jump in my car and drive to that spot.
but thats a 12 hour drive.
love the swedish west coast though.
so maybe i need to plan our next holiday and bring my surfgear with me.

The reason i asked was that i use a seatharness since ever.
and the windfoilers here also use mainly seatharness.
But thats just because we already owned these before we started windfoiling.
although i use a freeride/freestyle setup i do like to hang in the seatharness when going max speed.
i wonder if a waistharness gives the same feeling of control.

i’l try and borrow one to give it a go.

What kind of harness is prefered among windfoilers (non racers)?
