No shops in Gero. Bring everything you need from Perth.
Point Moore, Coro and St Georges are all great freeriding spots. Also lancelin and Cervantes on your way up. Safety bay is the best freeriding in the Perth metro area.
November is always windier and more consistent than October, if you can delay your trip.

I doubt you would notice much if any difference, therefore I would suggest putting the funds towards something noticeably better such as a new board, sail or a slim grip carbon boom if you don't yet have one.
My ezzy masts are the same age and still going strong...
